Dear God it's me Tammy (not Margaret this time).
Does church still count when it feels like this?
Instead of a nice, tranquil, place of prayer, like this?
What were you thinking when my three year old asked me about these?
But it sounded like these (well you know what I am thinking). And it was loud enough for all those sitting in the three pews in front of us and behind us to hear.
Did you think it was disgusting when my little "angel face" spit up all over herself and me right after the first song was sung (that gooey thick kind of spit up that doesn't like to wipe up easily). I am sure that everyone around us was looking forward to shaking our hands during the sign of peace.
Does it matter that the only prayers I was able to say were those wishing for good behavior from my little bundles of joy and not the kind I really should have been saying.
Or that I can hardly recall a word stated during the readings or the hymns sung.
Is it bad that I think an hour with my kiddos in your house can sometimes feel like an eternity? Please don't take offense to this it has nothing to do with you and everything to do with my two monkeys. (Before kids, I took that hour for granted - never again I say.)
Dear God, please know that I know in all reality I deserve (on most Sundays) a great BIG "F", but I am hoping that maybe you give "A's" for effort. Just a thought.
As you can tell today wasn't a very good "church day" for the Alfultis Family minus one (Daddy was working).
Let's just all say a quick prayer that next Sunday will be better.
Wishing you a Happy Sunday!
